Welcome to the Persian Literary Studies Journal (PLSJ)
A Quarterly, Open-Access, and International Forum
Persian Literary Studies Journal (PLSJ) is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary academic journal hosted by Shiraz University in collaboration with the Iranian Society for the Promotion of Persian Language and Literature.
🔴 Relaunch and New Vision (February 2026)
We are pleased to announce the official relaunch of PLSJ under a new editorial management team. Following a strategic revitalization, the journal has upgraded its publication schedule from semiannual to Quarterly (4 issues per year) to ensure timely dissemination of cutting-edge research.
Our mission is to serve as the premier bridge between the rich scholarship produced within Iran and the global academic community.
Scope and Focus
PLSJ is the only university-based journal in Iran dedicated to Persian Literature and Iranian Studies published entirely in English. We invite scholars to explore the "Persianate World" in its broadest historical and geographical sense—from ancient languages and mythology to modern literature, cinema, and visual arts. We particularly welcome contributions with cross-cultural, comparative, and interdisciplinary perspectives.
